BIBLE STUDY BREAKFASTS WITH OUR MINISTERS
Every Thursday morning (except for July and August) from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. you are invited to join Plymouth’s Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Tom Niblock, and/or our Associate Pastor, Rev. Moira McGuinn, or our Teaching Minister, Rev. Abel Cotelo, at Green Street Cafe (located at the intersection of Main Highway and Commodore Plaza in downtown Coconut Grove) for a time of conversation and breakfast. The minister preaching the following Sunday’s sermon will bring the scripture text and will be more than willing to listen to ideas and suggestions. No reservations are necessary; breakfast is informal and each individual orders at his/her own expense. If you can’t make it by 8:00 a.m., that’s ok, and if you have to leave before 9:00 a.m., that’s ok too! Just come join us!
THE PLYMOUTH BOOKMOBILE
The Bookmobile has made a wonderful contribution to the faith life of our congregation. It was established by the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Burt with a gift given in memory of Dr. Walter Jones. Through our Bookmobile first quality books are offered to our congregation at discounted prices.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Rev. Abel Cotelo leads Bible study groups at select times throughout the year. These groups meet at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings in Pilgrim House. The next study series begins on September 17 and continues through November 12. This series will focus on the first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis, about the origin of creation, the first story of love, knowledge of good and evil, the fall, righteousness and human possibility. From there on, the understanding of God and history comes to us through specific cases of different family journeys: the family of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God’s Salvation appears through these families’ stories, whose lives are changed for good once they have been part of this human-divine encounter.
Please join us at 8:30 a.m. each of these Sunday mornings. Childcare is available. The wonderful thing about Sunday Bible studies is not only the food and ideas we share, but also the sharing of our own lives through which God is speaking.
